Volunteering
Volunteering in your local community is a great way to help make a positive impact in the lives of others and to build friendships. You are a unique individual that can contribute in a way nobody else can. When we all work together, we add immeasurable beauty to the world. We have a very active volunteering community at St. Mark's. It is a rewarding experience and a great way to meet new friends in our church community.
There are many areas at St. Mark’s where you can contribute your help if you wish. For example, do you love to bake? Is craft-making your hobby? Do you have creative ideas to share? If so, you could help out at St Mark’s fundraising events such as our annual Yard Sale, the Christmas Market, the Christmas Love Box, the Cookie Walk and community lunches. Or perhaps you bring a unique talent? We are always open to hearing new ideas for fundraising and fun community get-togethers.
There are also opportunities to help on Sunday mornings such as: greeter, usher, coffee time host, choir member, scripture reader, sound operator, elevator operator or kid's program. As we have many people volunteering, we only require help from any one individual for a few Sundays a year.
If you have an interest in building, renovating or restoration, the Board of Managers always appreciates the involvement of new members.
Whatever your gifts and skills are, there are plenty of opportunities to volunteer.
