Worship & Music

What Should I Expect On Sunday Morning?
Our relevant and joy-filled worship begins at 10:30 a.m. with our  minister The Rev. Linda Patton-Cowie and our Music Director, Terry Therien.  Some people dress up, while others have a much more casual look.  The best choice is to wear whatever is comfortable for you.  The service usually lasts about an hour and is followed by coffee, tea, juice & cookies in the downstairs hall.  Our service is projected by powerpoint onto screens making it easy to follow along with the service.   You are welcome to sing along with our songs or not.   Whatever you find most comfortable is great.

Is There A Program For Children & Youth On Sunday Morning?
We welcome all ages!   As we believe worship is an important time for kids to experience and participate in, kids & teens join their families in the worship service for the first few minutes of worship and then are invited up to the front for a short kid’s moment.   They then have an opportunity (if they wish) to go downstairs with a leader to share in their own worship time or kids & teens are more than welcome to remain in the sanctuary with their family for the entire service.    For families with infants, if you or your baby need a break from the sanctuary you are always welcome to go downstairs where there is a washroom with a change table if needed (we do not have staffing for infants).

University/College Students & Young Adults
Be sure to reach out to Rev. Linda by email: [email protected]  or click here to send us a message     She’d love to connect with you and answer any questions.   You are welcome to join us on any Sunday!

Where can I park?
We have a good-sized parking lot right beside the church.   On Sundays when the parking lot is full, you are welcome to park along Jamieson Dr. right beside the church.     The entrance to the church leads you to short flight of stairs to the main floor (or on the ground floor,  there is a door which will take you to the elevator.  Please note that our church is fully accessible).

Washroom Accessibility?
Yes, we have washrooms :-)  If you require accessibility, there is a fully accessible, gender neutral washroom on the lower level (which you can reach by taking the elevator).    Also on that level, there are additional washrooms.

Communion
We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of every month and all are welcome at God's table.

New to St. Mark’s? — Feel free to let us know you’re coming on a Sunday or ask any questions through our connect form
